I thought "applications" was going to deal with benefits. Shouldn't we call this "software" or "vendors" or something?

Done! Renamed to Software.

Is there an explanation of how a firm would use the COBIE template?

Dear James from SOM, Yes, please go to COBIE on the Whole Building Design Guide and see a PDF, powerpoint, and other "How-to" items on COBIE. Specifically for this template, there is no user's manual, but the main thing to know is that it is pre-populated with all the parameters/data fields that COBIE reads and an IFC export will populate the COBIE database/workbook. Hope SOM uses it sometime! For more info, talk to Frank Moore or John Sullivan of Autodesk. Thanks! --Pat Suermann

Patrick, in the video they demo a tool that takes the exported content and populates the COBIE spreadsheet. It looks like the export is actually to text files which are then imported into COBIE. Do you know how that was done?
